KANCHAN MEHENDALE is a self taught, contemporary artist. Born in Mumbai, India, she currently lives in the beautiful garden city of Singapore. A versatile artist, her artworks span different subjects & ideas. She paints with acrylics, oils and watercolours.

A finance graduate by education and a banker in her corporate days, she is now an established artist, illustrator & graphic designer, who is inspired by YOU and a vision to create magically therapeutic visual art that delights the viewers, makes them wonder, fits their space and enhances their room.

Each painting is well researched, planned and executed with these goals in mind. Still life, cityscape, landscape, figurative, architectural, geometric art and more; in acrylics, oils and watercolours.. that’s her creative, colourful world!

Kanchan’s journey into art started in 2009. Over the years, she has worked on several themes, tried different styles and worked with multiple mediums. She enjoys the finer aspects of working with each medium – acrylics, oils and watercolours; and swapping between them constantly challenges her creativity and in her words “Keeps her on her toes”!

She paints instinctively, usually beginning with a simple emotion, belief or memory and portrays it on a canvas. Her inspirations are mostly from nature, people, emotions, memories, things we see and what we revere.

Kanchan’s art not only helps capture a home’s personality, but also captivates and entralls the viewer.

She has participated in multiple group exhibitions and her artworks have found homes all around the world. Her versatility in using different mediums and ability to paint a large variety of themes and subjects has helped build a large portfolio of artworks. She collaborates with clients to develop their ideas and create commissioned artworks.
