We came across Kanchan’s work on Instagram and commissioned a piece that meant a lot to us. She delivered exactly what we envisioned, checking in with us along the way and showing us progress at various stages. We are delighted with the final artwork and her ability to execute our vision to the finest detail.

A massive thank you to Kanchan for not one, but two amazing acrylic painting pet portraits she has done for my son. His favourite dog of all time, a lovely mischievous Border Collie that belonged to our dear friends, who sadly passed away and he’d been wanting to have a painting done of him for a long while. I recently set to find him an artist locally in Singapore that could connect with him and listen and understand his brief. After a few recommendations I contacted Kanch and she was an instant connection with us both which was really important to us, and a few WhatsApp calls later she sent a sketch through of Maverick. 24 hours later she was done! Wow! When my son collected it he was absolutely over the moon and instantly asked if he could have one done of our own newest addition to our family, Rusty our toy poodle, now 14 months old (human years!) I kept this one as a surprise which I’m now holding for Christmas but my daughter and I were so impressed with the colours and the detail. Kanch ensures she understands the exact brief, sends a few sketches, pre-pics along the way then BOOM.. she’s done in the next 24 hrs! The longest you need to wait is for the final coat of lacquer to dry and it’s worth the wait. We will no doubt be back in the queue for another painting now that my daughter has caught on (we have 2 cats she now wants painted!). She not only does pet portraits, she showed us some amazing art today and if I find more wall space we’ll be back in line too! Thanks again Kanchan! This lovely acrylic of Joo Chiat shophouses was painted for me by Kanchan Mehendale. Kanchan was great to collaborate with and I am so happy with the final composition.
